Biography
Lin Jiaqi, Professor at the School of Biological Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, is a core member of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Intelligent Biomanufacturing and a recipient of the National Youth Talent Award (Outstanding Young Talent Program by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee). He obtained his Bachelor's degree from Beihang University in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Nano-Bio Interfaces) from Dalian University of Technology in 2012. From 2012 to 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (nucleic acid therapeutics). From 2018 to 2020, he served as Director of Research and Development at BrainCo Inc. in the United States. He has been honored as a Young Scientist by the Ministry of Science and Technology, a Ningbo Yongjiang Talent, and a Dalian Overseas High-Level Talent. His research focuses on mRNA therapeutics and vaccines, nanobiological interfaces, tissue engineering and regeneration, and brain-computer interfaces. Publications Published in international journals including Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, Science Advances, and Small. Authored 2 ESI highly cited papers with over 3,300 citations and an h-index of 19. Research significance garnered widespread recognition from peers globally, featured in reviews and positive coverage by Chemical Reviews, Chemical Society Reviews, Accounts of Chemical Research, Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, and Science Daily. As principal investigator, he has secured multiple grants including the Ministry of Science and Technology's Key R&D Program for Young Scientists, provincial joint science and technology projects, municipal Science and Technology Innovation Commission's “Challenge-Based Project,” and municipal key R&D initiatives, totaling 18 million yuan in government funding. He has filed over 20 invention patents in related fields, with 12 published applications and 5 granted patents, three of which have been successfully commercialized.
